Robinder has extensive clinical and research experience over the last decade after finishing medical school gaining work experience in five countries and over twenty different hospitals including NIH, John’s Hopkins Hospital, Wayne State University, University of Rochester, Mayo Clinic, Oxford-Radcliffe Hospital UK, Queens Medical Center UK, Christian Medical College and Dame Edith Brown Memorial Hospital, India and many more hospital locations.
Robin was awarded the ‘Young Investigator Award’ by the American Society of Bone and Mineral Research in 2012 annual meeting for his basic science bench research at the Center for Musculoskeletal Research in Rochester, New York, studying the effects of PTH on femoral allograft healing and angiogenesis. He is the first author on an original research article in the Journal of Bone and Mineral Research, he has also authored review articles, book chapters and has coauthored several other peer-reviewed publications. He completed his residency at Wayne State University and Rheumatology Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. During his fellowship, he worked with Dr. Mike Ward on clinical outcomes research studies, with special focus on rheumatoid arthritis and lupus.
Douglas Haselwood has been in practice for the last 30 yrs in the greater Sacramento area. He is semi retired and enjoys his time traveling between Sacramento and Texas enjoying his grand kids. He is currently not accepting any new patients.
Janette is a graduate of Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California where she received her degree in Master of Science in Nursing. In her passion for professional growth in advanced health care, she obtained her Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2018. She received her degree in Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Velez College of Nursing in Cebu, Philippines. She comes with 28 years of nursing experience, having worked in various healthcare settings including medical-surgical, neonatal, pediatric, perinatal, and orthopedic surgery. She also worked as a nurse practitioner in a weight loss clinic as she continues to strive to make a difference in the lives of her patients.
Katherine Willett, MPAS, PA-C
Katherine received a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin in 2013. She always knew she wanted to continue her education in medicine. She received a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2016 with an emphasis in family medicine. Much of her clinical experience was serving underserved areas of rural West Texas. She is Board Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She has also experience in pain management and has a passion for serving patients with chronic pain.
Janette Van, RN, Infusion Nurse
Janette has been a nurse for 45 years and recently retired from Sutter Roseville ED after working there for 28 years. With her strong background experience, she contributes to the success of Sierra Rheumatology by overseeing our weekly out-patient infusion program. She enjoys taking walks, playing golf, visiting her grandchildren and going to Bible study.
Stacey Cloyd started with Sierra Rheumatology in 2018. She is a Certified Medical Assistant with over 15 years of experience in various areas. She brings with her 15 years of experience from Mercy Healthcare. Stacey is passionate about patients and her work. She believes that every patient deserves to be treated with respect, and treats them as if they were her own family. She has three daughters of whom she loves and admires dearly.
Jeanette has been a medical assistant for 8 years with experience in orthopedics, pain management, and rheumatology. She prides herself in patient care and her extensive knowledge with prior authorizations for rheumatological medications. She enjoys spending time with her son and daughter, mainly engaging in water sports.
James graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara in 2015. He was an EMT in Los Angeles, then a medical assistant / scribe in Santa Barbara for Endocrinology & Dermatology departments, before joining Sierra Rheumatology in October 2018. He aspires to be a pediatric nurse practitioner specializing in acute care and is currently applying to NP programs. On his free time, James can usually be found rock climbing at Granite Arch in Rancho Cordova or camping in South Lake Tahoe.
Gaby is a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator with over 18 years conducting pharmaceutical research trials in multiple specialties including OB/GYN, rheumatology, and nephrology. Our office offers patients the opportunity to participate in exciting studies with the study medications offered free to qualified participants. On her off time, she enjoys time with her family, which includes boating / wake surfing during the summer months.
